Just left the store - marked $799.99 in store too. Didn't want to deal with the hassle trying to get them to price match their ad when it said $799.99 both online and in store. If anyone is successful getting it for $749.99 from Costco, please post

Is Apple's pricing for more memory, disk space, CPU, etc. pretty ludicrous? Yes, but people keep paying the premium for these upgrades. Apple could certainly afford to slap in a 1TB SSD in these laptops without dramatically raising the price, but they don't because they know people will pony up the extra cash. To each their own....
I know it sucks. People keep lining up to buy MBPs to watch Netflix on. LOL

Saw your other post as well. I think perhaps it is a typo as Costco's "regular" price is $949, and $150 off of that price would be $799...

That would have been a good deal if it were on sale for $749 at Costco.

There's no point in "upgrading" to something with 8gb of RAM. My old ass 2015 MBP 15" has 16gb of ram and is only worth $200 trade-in to Apple.

Why are people arguing for 8gb of ram and 256gb ssd? Only justifying Apple's greed.

it's not the ram, it's the chip architecture..
these m1 and m2 chips are extremely efficient on power and performance. If you want ram look elsewhere.
