After looking into it more, Costco may be the way to go. Same price but with 5 years of warranty and a free 2 year subscription to the Art Store.

How is this a sale if the 55" is $1000 in all the big stores?
$2 off?

That's what I'm debating. I can drive to Target or Best Buy and get this today without worrying about shipping and damage. But this deal does include a free 4 year warranty...

Because they all had it for $1500 until this sale. The sale prices are coordinated.

Not much of a deal. I got the frame 55" from Samsung directly when they had the 899 + free bezel+ free installation deal.

Samsung EDU has the 55" for $899 ($100 savings), but no extra warranty. Although a lot of people have luck getting 2 year Samsung care warranties for free via chat in these Samsung posts.

Gotcha, thanks. Guess the option is to save $100 bucks or to get the long warranty.

I'm not a warranty expert, but I've had great experience with Costco making things right if there are problems. It looks like year 1 is manufacturer, year 2 is Costco Concierge, and 3-5 is Allstate which is serviced by SquareTrade.

How do I see the EPP pricing? It's not showing up on the education offers for me?

Tempting!
Would love to replace my old TV with one that can double as art display, but ideally I want a 60". I can't fit the 65" between my shelves, but would love to maximize the screen size.
I don't care much about how thin the TV is, but I do care a lot about picture quality and ability to display art. Should I get the 55" from this deal, or are there alternatives? I tried researching, but higher end TVs are generally not made in 60", or am I wrong?
What makes this one able to work as art display? Seems like:
1. Thin TV (maybe also thin bezels?)
2. Software for displaying art (is it even possible on other high end TVs?)
3. Special screen? (I am a complete noob here, so no idea)

Any advice highly appreciated!
