brand new also only comes with a 1 year warranty, and this comes with 2 year, and says it comes with all the same things. doesn't seem like saving any money getting it new lol.

No, you need to use the remote to manually control the vacuum. If you regularly need to manually control your vacuum to hit certain spots, I'd look for another model with in app controls or lidar mapping with zones.

No lidar, but it does a pretty good job of passing over most of your floor each time it runs. I recommend setting it to resume cleaning if you have a larger floorplan that can't be finished on one charge.

Works great on flat, hard surfaces (vacuum won't do well on deep gaps between tiles), but I doubt it will effectively clean all but the lowest pile carpet.

I need one for carpet only that does well with pet hair. Two stories. What type should I be looking for, this doesn't seem like it's good enough for carpet.

Love this thing. Use it everyday, at max power. If the battery runs out, it recharges and picks up where it left off. The Allstate 2-year warranty is worth it. Apparently these batteries go bad if you use them so much (even if new). Less than a year and already used the warranty. It was easy to put a claim for a new battery, and now I'll use it less sparingly.

What was the warranty process like? I've never used a 3rd party warranty but anker is pretty good with their warranties on charging cords and batteries.

How does this clean area rugs? I have hardwood and area rugs and wonder how's this going to work out?
