It's cheaper if you buy them individually, instead of the set
That^ 193.94 vs 199.99
I have the 25 and 45 pound ones and they are sturdy and do not bend. I saw the 10/15lb ones in store at walmart and they are thin and flimsy, definitely could be damaged if care isn't taken with those. I picked up smaller diameter cast iron 10/5/2.5 plates.

The downside to these plates is the width per pound. The 45 is a tad under 3" wide and the 25 is a little under 1.75". This probably isn't a problem if you are using a standard 7ft barbell (15-16" sleeve length), but definitely something to consider for shorty bars because of the lower max load capacity. I have 6' rackable and it has only 10" sleeve length not counting the locking collar, putting my max load with these thick plates around 265lbs.

Anyone have these? There's lots of complaints on the 10/15 lb colored ones saying they are very flimsy and flexible. Basically they taco when added to a bar. Curious if these black ones are the same.

How about a 2.5lb iron plate? You can mix and match smaller stuff.

That's what I figured but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks

I picked this up for small adjustments:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/CAP-15.../832286590

Quality was ok, the coating seems like it will chips easily if it hits something, but it's cheap and functional. If you are in store and can check before buying, double check if there are any sharp edges. One plate on mine has some less than comfortable sharper (but not cutting skin) edges.

Highly reccomend the thin Cap iron Plates for this. Do a couple sets of bumpers then start adding Irons or you can run out of room especially on cheep Trap Bars
