Because it is not competeing with those higher end models. I think you did not get the point that all PCIe SSDs are not same and largely differ based on their controller, type of the Flash memory (SLC, MLC, TLC, QLC), Cache type (DRAM or DRAMLess). This is a DRAMless QLC SSD, one of their lower end models and that's why they compared it similarly priced SSDs.

That's why I explained you and all those reviews also clearly explained the position of the SSD in the market and its compepetiors. May be you should read the reviews actually instead of just going through the comparison charts and thinking of conspiracies everywhere.

Solid deal if you're just going to use it for something like PC games. Can't really complain for $60.

Could this SSD handle Windows running off of it?
I have an old small form HP DeskPro the kids use for surfing and watching videos I would like to get this for.
Also, it has 4 PCIe slots, will this work in this older computer?
Thanks for any help, I'm not real good on the inside specs and what I actually need to upgrade.

Sounds like you would want a 2.5" SSD, Depending on how old your system is, it may not have an M.2 socket which this drive requires.

Nice price, but after some research things seem a bit dodgy. Reviews I've come across don't include comparisons with those considered among the best, WD850 Black, 980 Pro, SK Hynix.

What do you suggest as an affordable DRAM 1tb? I am looking for something as a boot drive. Is DRAMless really that bad?

Isn't this an offshoot of SK Hynix?

Dramless is fine for the vast majority of people. It'll affect speed once the drive is entirely full and endurance but endurance is still going to be so high that most people will never even come close to the entirety of it.

Yes. This is where a lot of Intels NAND division went.

It will be recognized when installed internally to the PS5 since it's a Gen 4 drive, but is below Sony's recommended write performance of at least 5000MBps. However, plenty of people have used drives that don't meet that recommendation and are getting along just fine. Since there is only one expansion slot, I'd get a larger drive if you have a lot of digital games.

Oh, and pick up a true heatsink for it for about $10, too.

Not all consumers know that this isn't close to the best. Consumers checking those reviews might think this is near the best (but only of the incomplete sample group being tested.)

I wonder if a lot of these reviews were funded to contractually prevent the comparison.

This product brand has been a frequent hot deal lately.

The 2TB was on backorder on the 15th when I placed the order and I was notified that it shipped out yesterday the 17th. Not too bad of a wait.

Makes for a good cheap game drive.
