You'll get charged the full price + taxes when making the order with a trade-in online. When you go in-store to pick up the new phone and trade in your old phone, they'll refund you the difference and with that, your taxes will also be adjusted according to the final price.

Source: I traded in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 a month ago at Best Buy.

I was in the same boat, but decided to trade the XR for pixel 7 and plan to trade pixel 7 for iPhone 14 when there is a deal. Either way, I think the trade-in value for pixel 7 will be more than XR (hopefully, it is more than $80 because this is what it costs me to jump this route) lol

Really, can you provide more detail? I have that feeling too, especially given my 6 Pro is working perfectly fine. Fingerprint is perfect since updates months back, battery life is great, network related issues resolved.

I was going to hold out for the 8, but this deal was tempting me.

This is the first time for me as well doing this kind of trade-in. I hope they will give 4-5 days for the pickup. Ebay order says phone will be delivered by Saturday or by Monday. I will update in this thread with my order status. Also with verizon ebay store, we can do easy returns if this transaction did not work out. So I took the chance.
