That is a clear and direct competitive violation of any free market system. Which is never supposed to be allowed. You are not free. Freedom is dying; until restored..
This is part of the problem most people don't choose to see. Firmware must be COMPLETELY open too, or we are fragged.
We are as far away from compatibility as technology can get. Why do we not require it? They said, let us handle the foundation and it is not working. Email is dangerous, backdoors for your government are everywhere. You are paying the extra cost, processing time, and damage in your devices to fight malware, spying, using you as product and many extra lacks of functionally just related to security. No one can answer the phone anymore. Spam and distraction can't be abated technically; because monopolists control what happens with what you think of as your devices.
