I also didn't have my ID on me, and I'm not sure if the next rep would be willing to use a picture of ID or other methods
Edit: official policy seems to be trade-in estimate is valid for 14 days from when the estimate was given
"Your item must be received within 14 days of the estimate or Best Buy has the right to revise or withdraw the estimate for the trade-in or credit value."

Edit: interestingly, the trade in value estimator shows $90 now for the iPhone XR

I'd be kind of concerned if they act like they're just going to send it off without actually entering the info and processing the trade there. If the manager doesn't seem to know how the trades work, I'd check with the person at the cell counter and mention you have a pickup, but also need to do your trade in. I'm pretty sure that's how most ended up doing it.
But yeah, I think that if you returned it, you'd only get back whatever you paid (around $40) plus a $110 store credit from the trade value. I think people would be returning these things like crazy for $460 in store credit if there was any way to do that.

I'm just debating whether it's worth me trying to go in again... They might not even allow me to do the pickup this time since I don't have my driver license - only a picture of it. Also, wondering if I can ask them if I can just refund it instantly if the $350 instant discount isn't applied after finalizing the transaction...
To be honest, I don't really want to spend $400+ or whatever for this phone. It'd be nice if they would give me a little more assurance on this
