This looks similar to the insignia one. I personally don't like this style because it's a little inconvenient. With the basket you can shake your food or remove from cooking and everything stays in place. With this version you need to slide the tray out, but when you slide the tray out you can only slide it out half way otherwise it tilts down and falls. While sliding it out any grease or crumbs falls out, but it also falls into the gaps/creases where the door pivots. There's a strong smell in the insignia v, I left it outside a couple of times for like 30 min and the smell still lingered. After a while, the faint smell went away...
Other than the above, this definitely cooks better better then a 6-8qt basket because those are more vertical instead of horizontal. Didnt do exact measurements of units but visually this is probably a little taller while those are about the same width and around the same price on sale. With this, you can cook on two tiers and the air moves better. The top most rack cooks food faster so just make sure you watch it.

Bought the PowerXL 12 qt last year as well, and it just died last week after daily use. Liked it so much, plan to purchase again, but with an extended warranty this time.
before you get that extended warranty check into who pays to ship it back. if you do add that cost to the cost of the warranty vs. just buying a new unit again.

FWIW, I bought the powerxl model like this last year. I liked it better than traditional air fryers. You don't need to turn it or toss the food around.
Also, air fryers are just convection ovens that were given a new name to make them seem like the next new best thing. That being said, if you ever have to replace your stove, just get one with the convection oven and skip the extra product.
I too have the identical power XL 12qt from last Christmas. Love it. I use it every day and cook most all my meat dishes in it as well as reheating and have roasted half a dozen 4lb chickens.
I agree that clean up is a bit more of a hassle but it's worth it. I also purchased a separate 6qt basket with removable handle for certain items but have rarely used it. I bought some small 10" x7" x1" pans when I need a solid bottom pan.
After going thru a dozen cookbooks at Amazon and sending all but three back as they were terribly edited and just crap, I found I could just Google "air Fryer" in front of a recipe and had much better recipe options.
All in all I personally like the oven style for versatility but not clean up.

how much electricity does this waste? asking because Convict Edison sent a threatening email stating that electricity will get very expensive over the winter.
Good question...No just re-packaged & branded. Convection ovens have been around for decades. Almost exclusively at bakeries & restaurants with smaller residential versions to follow...Nuwave ovens are the same as well. Enclosed air fryers with baskets are easier to deal with. IMO
EDIT:
all of these described have fans that move the hot air
Damn wish I woulda waited for this one instead of buying the toaster oven air fryer they had last week. Had one similar to this, think it was powerxl that died, liked the layout better than the baskets, just kinda hard to clean crumbs around the hinge etc. The toaster one looks great but has just a small fan so hopefully it still cooks pretty even and quick.
Just got it delivered today. So far so good. I also have the PowerXL 12qt one from last year too ($50). I like this one more. A little more room and has the rotisserie set too. I also think it heats food more evenly too compared to the PowerXL-- at least the fries and potatoes I've done. Highly recommended! Target is selling this for like $40 more right now so this is a steal!

With the oven style air fryer you only have to wash a thin tray. With the basket air fryer you had to wash the crisper tray and the whole huge basket.
The oven style has also become our toaster for bread, leftovers and cooking chicken. It's the best all around air fryer in my opinion.
