With the different phones out now and to be released from various carriers, I figure we all have a lot in common with the Android OS. We can discuss what we like, need help with, what apps are cool or don't work well, as well as questions and help issues. Given that CSR's from the various carriers may know less than we do, this thread is for all of us so we can help one another.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure I'd rather go with Android than my iPhone if it weren't for the difference in the amount of apps available. I just enjoy the sheer volume and diversity of apps that Apple has... other than that, I'd probably be happier with an Android phone, unless Apple can get off their ass and start actual multitasking and stuff. Sigh.

hey saint.. when you leave a program and go back to the home screen how long does it take? all the hero roms that i put on my g1 take forever to close an app and go back to the home screen.. i was wondering if the real thin is faster

I got my wife the Hero. She know nothing about phones, but i play with it every day. I dont see any lag between program and home screen.

I'm don't have enough 8GB micro SDHC cards now for all of the HTC Heros I have. Crying Does someone know of a slick deal on these cards? A higher class/speed is a bonus in case Google does something good that will allow storing apps on the micro SD instead of the phone memory w/o rooting.
