The EGO LB6504 with a CFM of 650 slightly exceeds the 615 CFM of the EGO LB6151. Thus, in comparison, you may find that the former is able to move more leaves per minute.
The EGO LB6504 with an MPH of 180 slightly exceeds the 170 MPH of the EGO LB6151. Thus, in comparison, the former expels air at a slightly higher speed, and should do a better job at blowing leaves on grass or lifting wet leaves and debris (acorns, etc.).
WEIGHT & NOISE RATING
The heavier EGO LB6504, standing at 9.7 lbs, dwarfs the 7.6 lbs of the EGO LB6151, and may be more physically demanding to operate.
Both devices have a noise rating of 65 dB. They should therefore be equally demanding on the ears.
So they proceed to give me the floor demo model so whatever and then they couldn't figure out how to ring it up at he register and I had enough. I thanked them for their time and said I'd buy it somewhere else. Ordered it in Amazon for ten dollars cheaper delivered.
And people bitch when other people don't buy things locally. This is a good example of wasting my time driving there and back and waiting at their store of why I prefer to have shi t delivered

Be forewarned though it's a bit of a beast. An included strap would have been nice but I manage by switching arms. Good forearm workout.

I was thinking the same thing about getting an extra battery, mostly because my current ones are old and will probably crap out in a couple of years (who knows). But I already have an older/less power leaf blower from them and works fine for me.

And yeah same on my current battery stock. I have one or two that are acting a bit finicky, but have a couple that are still going strong. Knowing my luck if I buy this they'll all last for 10 more years, but if I don't they'll all crap out as soon as next mowing season kicks off.
I know! Waiting for the match…
