yes, you can use this w/o a subscription. im using several doorbells for motion cams with the sync module 2 w/o a subscription. you will have to buy a usb thumb drive to plug into the sync module 2.

yes, with the blink app to both questions. do note like it/reviews say, it does take a couple more seconds to view clips via the sync module 2 as its slightly slower to load from usb drive then cloud.

i just checked into the eufy homebase and LOTS of reviews say that the homebase fails just outside of warranty (about the 1 year timeline) and they wont replace it. talk about shady. also the built in emmc drive is not upgradeable and no addon usb drive.

have a couple doorbell cams on this sync 2 module and they work quite well.

the doorbell cams by themselves cost $35+ and the sync module 2 is $40, so this is a good deal.

I can't send a picture in the mobile app but if you scroll through the pictures up above it says in one of them that you can wire them to your existing chime. I doubt that it Powers it but I could be wrong

Can the Ring app show me the clips stored on the USB drive if away from home WIFI ?

Can't say about the camera since I don't have either one. But the homebase2 from eufy has 16GB storage ONLY and is not expandable!! At least this blink sync module 2 you can plug in a 256GB USB-A drive...


Wish any of these homebase or syn module to be able to work with NAS!!!

I tried the doorbell when it first came out and could never get it to mount to the base. Any tips from those who have it?
