I went into the bios and the ram brand was kingston, it says fury on the stick. Bios is Asrock. B660M-C 2.02. Gpu is gigabyte.

To me, it's a no-brainer. BB has extended return period to mid-Jan 2023 and no restocking fee if unopened. So buying it and waiting a few days to see if a better deal comes up.

If yes, I return it.
If no, I open it.

Seems like more people are preferring this build over the 1499 3080 build.

$1500 for 3080 build is not worth it when 6800 XT similar performance for $456 with newegg zip promo

Total Build $1135

I think they are both pretty good deals depending on what your looking for overall. 3070 for 1080p/2K gaming and 3080 for 2K/4K. Only problem I have is a good 4K monitor with high refresh and low latency are still fairly expensive.

If anyone interested.. $200 more for similar configuration but KF over F cpu, ddr5 over ddr4, and 240mm liquid cooling. Price shows $1442.99 and promo code ZIP11 with zip pay brings $100 down. https://www.newegg.com/msi-aegis-...6883151080

You should post that. It's a good deal, especially when you factor in this iBuyPower deal needs at least a $65 CPU cooler upgrade. So difference is more $150ish.

But I'm sticking with the current iBuyPower deal because:
1) NewEgg returns are notoriously difficult (especially since I have a local BB store).
2) The person that wants the PC has a budget of $1300, so with tax and CPU cooler this iBuyPower deal is at the max.

Not sure about the PSU quality, but it's 650W on the MSI.

That's right. Again this deal is not to compete with best buy iBuyPower or custom built vs pre built. I find this suitable for my use case and posted if at all others may benefit as well. It is a personal choice of middle ground between $1150 3070 and $1500 3080 iBuyPower rigs with perks like ddr5, liquid cooling, z690 mobo and looks. thanks.

Could you PLEASE follow this link and tell us which item matches the ones in your computer. There are a couple Kingston Fury items, but the look is distinct, so you could probably ID the ones in this computer pretty easily.

Better gpu, but is it worth cheaping out on the other components. My experience with iBuyPower is that they cheap out on the mobo, ram, ssd, etc. Anyone know what Mobo this uses?
I've been running my iBuyPower for 3 years 0 issues. It's had a 2070 super and it's been very stable. I use pro tools, creative suite and gaming on it.

Both costco MSI and this can handle future upgrade albeit this one is more futureproof due to higher psu. Ram on both is upgradeable easily to 128gb. Both look like a good system imo.
this one has 4 ram slots. Not nearly as cheap to upgrade to 128gb

edit:

Nevermind didn't see that 4x32 is actually affordable now

Thanks for the heads up, I went with this over all the other deals, I really struggled between this and the Costco MSI that was a out $240 less, but this having the 3070 over the 3060 made it seem worth it. Also this isn't liquid cooled it's fan cooled but I don't think that will be a huge issue

Picture shows liquid cooling and 850w psu where as Newegg spec says fan cooling and 650w. Checked MSI site and it says liquid cooling and 650w. I hope it is.

Not for this model but a separate model, Best Buy had similar spec vs pic difference and clarified in q&a 🤞🏻 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ques...d087b7080f

I picked it up earlier today. So far I can't install windows successfully. After giving the PC a name (during installation), PC goes blank and goes back to flash screen with rotating dotes (indicating windows), then the screen flickers and goes blank. I kept restarting it but the results remain the same.

I have tried reseating the GPU and replacing the HDMI cable.
Do you have any idea what's wrong? Thanks.
There are 12 reviews for this computer on Costco with an average rating of 2.9 where others have had issues, although I'm not sure if any of them address the same problem you're having. One of the good reviews said, "The only issue I had was that it didn't wake from sleep. But I was easily able to fix this by updating the bios." [I'm pretty sure it's the same model as this deal, although the price is $1,900 at Costco.]

Or, maybe the 40 mediocre to negative reviews (1-3 stars) on BestBuy will give you a clue. Only 231 of the 389 reviews are verified... not sure if that really matters though. I didn't read through all of the reviews, but some of the comments included blue screen and quite a few were about overheating. Links to the reviews are below. I hope it turns out to be an easy fix for you.
