Create separate orders for each device so that you can trade a device for each phone. As long as you have not activated the first line, it is safe to add as many "new" lines as you want to your account. I did this with my group plan in Nov/Dec

There's about $7 of taxes and fees each month on the Flexible $20 plan.

You're right, sorry! Too many people must've figured out this deal. All I can find are S21s that don't have a functioning display for around 100. And I'm not sure if those count. You could chat with Google Fi customer service though. Or wait and maybe more will come online. (Although it's still a pretty good deal if you have to buy the phone for 200 off Ebay.)

EDIT: Someone above said that phones that power on to black screen don't count for trade in.

You can add device/person even after you activate your first line.

I might have wrote that. I don't know 100%. I would assume a cracked phone has to power on and be able to see that its on (not black screen) but of course not sure whether Fi/Assurion would care. I personally would not take the chance. I bought a phone with a "splatter" type crack but powered on perfectly and got more than estimated value.

From a phone recycler's stand point, a cracked screen can be replaced, but a dead screen could mean the electronics for the screen is dead, requiring more extensive/expensive repair.

S21's with working cracked screens were never in the $100 range. Even at the start of this round of trade in's the low was around $150.

My bad, you're right, I just looked at my receipt. It was 140. I got the price got confused with another sub-100 trade in I did for my wife's Pixel 6A....

Yes, i did something similar... the key is to activate the new device on the new line. as long as you do that, you'll be fine
