The price is reflective of how bad google broke nest. The older nest app and cameras are so much better. They almost have to give this new crap away

These definitely do not work with Nest app.

This isn't true. The only "security" thing they've discontinued is the Nest Secure, which, along with most of the Nest Legacy devices, are being phased out for the newer (crappier) products.

The only Nest Legacy part left is the Nest Protect (smoke/fire alarm). And they still sell the nest thermostat 3rd gen, but they already have the newer (worse) thread thermostat

I have Nest secure that stopped working suddenly and Google won't replace it as it's discontinued.

you are right, I should have said Nest secure instead of generalizing it but my point was Nest was a great app to have all products including cameras, doorbells and security system.now that Nest secure is discontinued, we have to buy different product and use different app instead of seamlessly controlling all in one app.

My nest cams always display faster and more consistently than wyze in home assistant

Hate when these big companies buy amazing non-competitive product based companies to later bury them in ground.
They invested in ADT to integrate Nest but don't see them having much success.

google is discontinuing NEST products and app (old ones), not the ones made by google recently(new ones which work with google ho0me app)

and, google is about to release major changes to Google Home app which is much much better than current version of google home...very close to nest app

correct me if I am wrong...

of course new prodcuts not up to the mark
