Pair of Powerblock Elite EXP Adjustable Dumbbells (2020 Model, Stage 1, 5-50lbs) are on sale right now for $305.99 at Amazon w/ free Prime shipping. Not the absolute cheapest deal seen on SD, but pretty close to it. Each dumbbell is expandable to 70 and 90 lbs if you purchase the Stage 2 and Stage 3 kits, respectively, but make sure you buy the correct expansions for the ELITE EXP dumbbells since some people may not be aware of the different dumbbell types that Powerblock offers.

Seen better every other month or so on Woot. Less than $300
These are worth it in my opinion. Tough and near indestructible. Not designed for throwing around or dropping. But compared to other designs like Bowflex, there isn't much on these that can break from normal use.

Grabbed a set. Been skipping going to the gym lately because it's cold.

Powerblocks are quite solid, but I prefer the Ironmasters if you're talking top notch adjustable homes gym pieces. I recall during COVID these being out of stock and Ironmasters having raffles just to buy at full price... times have changed.

Also needs to go to at least 75lbs to be useful for dudes that lift.

Just grabbed a set along with the stand that's on sale for $85. Have a one year old at home and it's tough to get to the gym consistently so along with my Ironmaster cable machine/bench and attachments and these I'll be pretty set.

I own these for my home gym. Takes some getting used to but the block style configuration doesn't bother me. Just grab a pair if you're on the fence. Tons of reviews on YouTube. The expand it set is affordable if you need to go heavier. You can't beat the price and space saving ability.

I have had powerblocks for 13 years and well worth the investment.. some minor rusting and one of the dumbell stickers have came off but still going solid. Def recommend them, and once u get adjusted to their size its a breeze.

Man remember mid covid when these things were up to 500 on the daily. Still waiting to get mine but hoping a good deal will pop before xmas
during covid start I sold these used to some guy for $800 and another guy was begging me to sell to him instead. Then I just bought them on amazon when available for $320 and sold to people for $150 more. not having weights introduced me to calisthenics which I much more prefer and can do anywhere.

I have owned both the power blocks and the ironmaster (power blocks to 90 lbs and ironmaster to 75. ). Ironmaster significantly more expensive but as close to as a real dumbbell as you can get. The power blocks did me good for years but the locking and unlocking wore out over time, plus popping out the cylinders to reduce weight by 2.5 and 5 was a pain. Have nothing bad to say about Ironmaster except it's price is a little excessive. You'll have either of these for 20 years if you take care of them.

I've had my powerblocks since 2003. They still look brand new despite the fact they get plenty of use.

These were okay when I had them. I ended up getting a solid deal on some Nobells and went with those instead.

I started with SelectTech which were fine except the awkwardness with curling. Then I decided to try the Powerblock Sport when I could get Stage 1 for around this price. I didn't think I'd like them because of the selector but I actually love them. They feel very dumbbell like on pressing movements and curls I got used to. The main thing is that these are size appropriate at the different weights. I love them so much I'm selling the SelectTechs and I ended up buying the 50-70 kit which just arrived today!

Are the PowerBlocks better than the Bowflex 552 and ProForm?

From all the research I've done, it appears these are more durable with time and can take more of a Beating. Also, overtime you can buy expansion packs to pack on more lbs. I've never had adjustable weights but after researching this seemed like the better one to go with. In 4 1

In my opinion, the main advantage of the SelectTechs are the dial selectors but even that is a matter of preference. I feel that the workout experience is better with the Powerblock.
