This is made with ABS. ABS is lower quality and weaker than Polycarbonate (PC). This will eventually break in check in.

Avoid the hard luggage if possible if you are considering a check in suitcase. They're made of ABS, less durable than Polycarbonate. The soft luggage is a decent option for the price.

Only business checking had it for me. None of the other 2 business credit cards or 10+ personal cards had it for me. Weird.

i was also looking into softside spinners but can't decide if i should get the 25" or the 29" for international travel to pack 50lbs in it.
25" won't fit 50lbs. They're too small.

Torn whether to get these 29" or the Samsonite deal.. abs vs polycarb. Highest cost. Just need 2 large bags for international flight.

Beat me to it. Yes, ABS will eventually make you regret every buying a bag with ABS. Whether that is 1 trip or 10

LOL...I have a 24 inch, with inline wheels, and just had to remove a few items to meet the 50lb weight limit. And my bag wasn't even at max capacity. So...incorrect you are

That might be a you thing. Yes you can stuff even a 21" with enough heavy items, like bricks, to get it to 50lbs.

I'm strictly talking about typical items a family puts in a decent way, without overly stuffing the 25" ones and for us it hovers about 40 to 43lbs and that's including the 9lbs weight of the bag itself.

I'm sure we can stretch it to 55lbs too, but we like to keep our bags civil, so the bags aren't tripping over all the time.

I'm sure YMMV and you aren't incorrect either.

I'm in the market for new (possibly hard-side) luggage, so I've been reading a lot of comments and reviews.

I've seen this PC > ABS comment echoed by many... sounds like sage advice.

BTW 28 inch is too large for many international carriers with max dimension limit of 58 inch. Need to find a bag 26 inch or lower. Dimensions include wheels

Yup. Never mind the "high ratings" mentioned earlier. Most consumer reviewers are morons. Always read the critical reviews for real stories.
