Is this a better buy than the Neo G9 which was $1150 a few days ago? This is IPS not VA panel. The only difference I see is the curvature. Quality as in chance of getting a lemon LG vs Samsung?

I see its an LCD, how does it fair against LEDs from today? So far the specs are awesome: IPS, large R, 120hz+

Amazon has it for $999! Just bought a Samsung CRG9 for $662. Can some one sway me to this instead and justify the cost? I like the KVM and USB C PD. I need for productivity, no gaming.

I almost got the CRG9 as well, the thing is that I've been reading lots of folks are complaining about dead pixels and quality - and that not only with this monitor, but with TVs as well. If I were to get a Samsung, I would want it through Costco via their extended warranty program.

I looked at the videos of this, looks nice but not a fan of R1000, the curve seem ridiculous and would bother me each time I'm using the monitor, and eat up desk space. The design of the LG seems very good, nothing would bother me about it, and I appreciate that built in KVM.

Also, IPS looks like its the way to go, has 120hz as well. I'm hoping that the LG would drop by a couple hundred bucks then I would go for it.

Thank you, looks like LG was released very recently (last few months). Probably won't go any lower before next year's thanksgiving. I hate Samsung warranty, they are a bunch of crooks in that department!

For those that are considering this or the Samsung. Just want to share my experience with the LG 60 hz version which almost identical. It is extremely relaible for Mac USB-C power delivery, USB hub, video/audio. The Samsung's Ive read they have a lot of issues. If you rely on the monitor for work and don't want to waste a lot of time with settings when things are not working, I would get this. I would love to replace my 60hz version with this or get 2, this monitor is amazing. I forgot what I read on this, you have to go USBC to DP to get 120hz right?
