I'm wondering on this too. Just bought the b2 at Sam's for 1299. Comes with the free 5 yr All-State coverage. Same deal as Costco that hit fp. But should I have held out for c1 deal?
You're correct the B2 is essential the same as the C1 of last year. That is what the LG rep told me at best buy.
c1 better... 4 hdmi 120hz 2.1 better features etc...
Depends if you need four 2.1. I don't need that many. B2 has two 2.1 and two older hdmi. That's plenty for most. Plus if you have a home theater receiver you can route all devices through that and use one port on the tv

It looks like the B2 is better in some areas and the C1 is better in others, at least according to the ratings. For example, the gradient seems significantly better in the C1, which is pretty important for the display. Seems like a wash to me...
Sounds like B2 and C1 are pretty equivalent overall... Why would anyone get this over the B2 deal at Costco right now for the same price and 5 years of total warranty?

I saw that but the summary they wrote isnt reflective of the actual test results. Look at the raw numbers and youll see that HDR for example in the B2 is brighter than the C1 but the summary says otherwise. Even using the selector for Main Differences summary, the B2 scores equal or higher than C1 on every selection.
I learned not to read the rtings comparison summaries, they arent necessarily accurate

Currently dealing with a warranty issue with my C1 right now and LG is ABYSMAL. It's worth it to me at the point to go with Sony or Samsung after the absolute nonsense LG asks of you. (Including heat your TV with a heat gun, buy hundreds of dollars in products from Amazon, push on it really hard, not pass along pictures they ask for)
