Most importantly is that the particular Ryzen platform is based upon the lesser Zen+ rather than Zen 2, Zen 2 having famously delivered double-digit improvements for AMD in instructions per clock. Though this Deskmini's CPU is surely very power efficient, it also isn't necessarily in the same vein as other Ryzen CPUs that have been nipping at Intel's heels. Rather, this system's CPU is something just barely on par with even older comparable Intel CPUs. This isn't a broken device, but it is just barely in the performance range of the some of the recent Dell refurbished deals with 4-core i-series CPUs (like the low-power i5-8350U). Fortunately in both cases these systems are eligible for Windows 11 support and would make reasonable choices for basic productivity machines.

These two are a little bit more, but likely worth the upgrade. I just picked up the 5600H since it seemed pretty good for $359 after coupon and cybermonday. Maybe?
