Port in a number from eligible carrier, complete 3 months of service $30 per month, get $300 gift card.

Chase has $25 off visible. Referral code can knock down first month cost by $20.

Net cost $349 + $90 - $20 - $25 + tax = $394 + tax

No trade in required.

It seems metro number, GV number don't qualify, some verizon MVNO number does, such as tracfone number does quality. ATT and Tmobile numbers certainly do. Check your number during checkout, if not qualify, you will see a small line of text stating this number doesn't qualify for GC.

Google reddit visible referral code. I don't have that chase offer, saw from other threads, that certain chase and boa credit cards have $25 off visible offer. You need to add that offer from your credit card, and use that card to pay.

Updated: Dur, I saw the unlocking policy on the product page. 60 days, not bad.

xxx

Is this unlocked? If not, when could it be unlocked?

Since this uses Verizon, would the phone be able to work with an at&t mvno when unlocked?

I currently have Red Pocket, my plan runs out in December. I could port over to this for a few months, then get it unlocked and switch back to Red Pocket (which is cheaper). I use Red Pockets at&t plan (that works best in my area), though I could switch to their verizon version if I had to.

Visible phones used to come fully unlocked. Now after 60 days.

6a should work just fine on redpocket once unlocked.

When they switched to a Verizon core, for their new plans Visible & VIsible+, certain changes were made. As with VZ's other MVNOs, you have to wait 60 days.

It's unclear to me where the "gift card" can be used. They don't say, it may be locked to places I would have no use for? Terms say:

"Gift card vendor list is variable and subject to change."

I've bookmarked a couponchamber URL for Visible referral codes which several coworkers and I were successful in using one of those codes during past few months.

BTW, I'm wondering why this thread was getting thumbed-down earlier. Are there catches? Is it because the $300 GC is for a choice of a 3rd-party GC and not an MC?

Edit: Removed URL to site.

Is the bootloader locked? If so, bad deal, IMO. I get that some people don't want any control over the device they paid for, but I'm not one of them.

This promotion is fulfilled through 3rd party, Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc. Here is the list from Blackhawk:
https://blackhawknetwork.com/on-d...rds/egift/

There are some popular venders: Amazon, Target, Homedepot. GC is certainly not as good as cash/prepaid card. To me, Amazon GC is as good as cash.

If I understand this correctly, I can get a Boost mobile number to port in on ebay, buy this phone and pay for 3 months service, get it unlocked at 2 months, and then just stick my Red Pocket GSMA (at&t) sim in it?

Looks like it would cost me $448 for all of that, minus $20 if I can get a referral code (I don't have the chase offer). So $428 plus tax, then I get a $300 gift card to Target or Amazon. So it'll cost me $128 plus tax when it's all said and done?

This sounds like the kind of offer I was hoping for, are there any kinks to watch for? I see someone asking if people didn't get their gift cards before; is that likely to happen? Is it easy to unlock after 60 days, or can that become a nightmare with CS?
