You don't need a Roku tv for this sound bar to work on your television, but it just makes the setup more seamless if you do. This is not going to be as good as more expensive systems, but in my experience it's surprisingly good, even at MSRP so this is definitely a good deal if you want a taste of Dolby Atmos without breaking the bank

I decided not to care too much, but when I turned it on, the audio was far worse than what came out of the TV itself. Some thing was clearly defective leaving to the first return, and somehow it got repackaged and sold immediately Going to try an exchange, if I get the same issue, then I'm just going to refund. Buyer beware.
