Today I placed order from Lowes, Amazon is better giving Ring Protect discount of $17 and 20% tradein

Do tradin for old device having $10 and 20% can be applied to your account. Don't use gift card amount while placing actual order. so you will have better discount of 20%.

once you place the order cancel trade in order you haven't used the $10 from trade in so you will be good, here is my order summary :

Items: $169.99
Shipping & Handling:$0.00
Ring Protect-$17.00
Device Trade-In-$34.00

Total Before Tax: $118.99
Estimated Tax Collected: $10.83

Order Total $129.82

Does anyone know what I would not be able to do with this model if I don't have the ring subscription? Right now we have the original ring but we don't have the subscription as we have other cameras doing video recording so right now we use ring as a door bell and for live view when people are at the door. Is it worth us upgrading if we still don't want to use the subscription?

I have the original Ring Pro and the night vision sucks. Anyone have a similar experience and know if Pro2 has improved night vision?

Without a subscription to Ring Protect you receive motion alerts and doorbell notifications, you can answer the doorbell when it rings, and you can check the Live View feed from the camera. The subscription enables a six-second pre-roll recording for motion alerts, saves your video history for up to 60 days, and lets you download and share your videos and images.

I hate how the Ring doorbell devices go on sale at different times. First, I bought the Ring doorbell for $40. It was delivered but not installed yet when the Ring Pro went on sale for $100.

So I returned that and bought the Pro. When the Pro was delivered, I installed that and fairly happy with it but can't see my packages due to the low vertical FOV.

Now, I'm thinking of returning the Pro and getting the Pro 2, but would have to deal with the hassle of removing and returning the Pro then installing the Pro 2.

Darn, why couldn't Amazon put all models on sale at the same time?

From the comparisons i read (I'm in the same boat as you), the night vision is similar. Maybe slightly better. Best reason to upgrade is the better video quality and better field of view (full body vs half view). Plus supposedly better reaction time. My ring pro has a lag when someone comes to my door.

I have a crack on the button, will that still appraise as $40 credit?

I am doing this wrong I guess. I click trade in and got an email but the doorbell doesn't reflect a 20% discount at checkout??

I always wanted to get a ring but never had good internet being in a rural area (I'm talking 3mb max download speeds). They just installed fiber so I am ready to go.

I don't have an existing doorbell so I would have to wire something up.

Not having a trade in it looks like best case I'm in this for 170? Is this a solid buy for a rookie ring guy that needs to hardwire something in?

Not sure how to get a 10% Ring protect discount appear on my account. I just linked the Amazon and Ring accounts together. The discount doesn't show up. Then I went ahead and bought another subscription through Amazon but the 10% discount still doesn't show up. Any idea what should I do to get the Ring Protect discount? Thanks

You don't necessarily need to wire anything up. Just buy a doorbell plug that connects to the connectors on the back of the ring pro and plugs in inside into an outlet. You WILL need to drill a hole through the wall to the outside to run a wire for the plug but its doable.

But if thats too much work and its easier for you to run new doorbell wires then you can.

Is there a 2022 model? I bought this to upgrade the pro and find that night vision is worse than pro. The only improvement over pro is Fov. Anyone else or did I get a defective one?
