Not a very good deal, especially considering the seller.
Best buy has a WD 14 tb for $199.99
Much better deal on a larger drive. $25 gets you 2 additional tb and you don't have to worry about neweggs poor packing and customer service.

Best Buy packing is terrible as well. Bought three of these from them a while ago. They came with no padding at all. One of them had a huge gash in the shipping box and in the hard drive box.

No doubt true, that's why I did in store pick up. Was fast and painless.
And as bad as they are, still way better than newegg.

Nearest Best Buy is 30 miles away and I don't drive right now. Everything is so much harder. But yeah, if that were an option for me I would have done it. There is a bus that runs to that town for a few bucks each way. But it's not worth the effort. Especially for such a mediocre deal. I will just wait until a better deal comes along

Yep, I wouldn't drive 30 miles each way either.
Something else, likely better, will come along.
Patience and good luck.

Retail externals are shock mounted and you're kidding yourself if you don't think BestBuy warehouse guys don't bounce these things around.
