"This" as in the 3rd Gen 128GB w/ Ethernet or the 3rd Gen 64GB WiFi only, or worst, the 2nd Gen? If anything than this, that was definitely not a deal buddy.
Got the 128GB buddy for 20 bucks off. This 5 buck off is not a deal.
No sir I got the 128GB one. Bestbuy Credit Card member use discount code to get it. This is nota deal buddy. 5 off is nothing. You can get this anywhere from this price.
Does appletv support Dolby Atmos via plex yet? It didn't used to, and the shield does, hence I have two shields.
Probably adding this AppleTV in order to add airplay to my tv. I use android so I can mirror to my Sony, but my family can't (they went to the dark side) . The appletv solves this problem
If you own a FireTV/Sticks/Cube, you can download something like AirReceiver that will allow you to AirPlay to it. Works pretty good.
Because Apple TV is much faster, and doesn't switch off when you turn the TV off... I have an LG OLED, and still enjoy using the Apple TV over the in-built apps, which I find to be slow, laggy etc.
Yes it's slow your right but I mean apple should just make a T.V then.
I have a Samsung tv and while I do notice better color and brightness with HDR10+ I'm not sure if it's worth double the price over my 2021 version.
If you do not need HDR10+ I would recommend save the money and get the previous version. Of course the A15 is much faster than the A12, but I did not notice a difference in speed, yet.
Curious, where I'm at, pricing is about $30 difference between the 2021 64 GB and 2022 128 GB. I also have a Samsung TV so would the HDR10+ be worth the extra $30? Do you find the new model to have glitches like some have mentioned?
Just learned only the new Apple TV 4K with Ethernet (128gb model) has thread. If you use this HomeKit this will be a worthwhile model to get. I have the 4k gen 1 with Ethernet. Looks like I'm going to have to get this one since Apple doesn't want to release an update for the 1st gen. 😕
I agree as a Plex user myself. I tried most of the players and settled on Roku for the value proposition. It's relatively cheap and is smooth and responsive. The shield and apple are nice but I'd rather spend the extra money elsewhere. FireTV was a hard pass for me.
The $30 Black Friday Roku Ultra LT is great except it doesn't have Dolby Atmos, a concern for those who want HDHomerun for local channels ATSC 3.0

Didn't care for the new user sign up and don't need to enter my CC for the "included" 3 month of Apple TV.

Same at Costco. I ended up getting a 32gb 2021 4k 2nd gen for $79 through Costco anyway, couldn't justify almost double the price for a12 to a15 cpu
