    These are not the same saws. The $240 deal is for the upgraded version of this deals saw. I believe this is generation 1 and the saw in the other deal is generation 2. There are several differences that make the gen 2 a better purchase for $80 more, not to mention the battery is also upgraded to something more suitable for a chainsaw being 4.0 amp hours. An easy way to tell the two saws apart from one another is by looking at the dogs. They are plastic and non existent on this deals saw. The $240 gen 2 deal has the metal dogs. Hope this helps aid you in making a decision.

    I have this chainsaw and you just need to slap on a bigger battery and you are good to start cutting. The downside of the smaller batteries is that they don't seem to last, which just has me using these batteries in the weedeater, hedge trimmers, etc.

    If i told yall about the huge live oak tree i dismantled with this thing yall would think i was exaggerating.. Wish i had taken some pics to prove it..
    I blew through a dozen or so chains and spent many hours at it .. but this thing was like a Bradly Tank.. never missed a beat.. best saw i ever owned.

    I've done some crazy shit with my 3 year old Ego 16". Bought an 18" recently but haven't found anything to put it to the test on yet. Trying to justify needing this 14" for a lighter/more compact saw now. I mostly just want another small battery for the weed eater and this is only $10 more than the battery alone so... yeah I'll probably cave and buy this 14" to complete the set of 3 lol
