10% off on Target gc means only 5% additional % off for redcard holders.

If you have 5% additional statement credit thru Chase Freedom - PayPal route, you get effective 4.5% extra on top of this discounted gc deal making it 14.5% off, or 9.5% on top of red card discount.

Depending on how much you shop at Target annually and your personal cash flow priorities vs need to save the extra % off, you can decide whether to block money in the gc.

If you decide to get in on this deal but also have the red card, you can prioritize to use red card for smaller transactions where red card can get you free shipping. You can select to use the discounted gc for when you're doing store pick up, or 35$+ shipping orders wherein you'd not have shipping charges to deal with anyway.

Hope it helps.
Just a PSA: if you buy the gift card and load it into your target account wallet, make sure you have 2FA for your account login. I received a $300 GC as a gift and realized as soon as I loaded it in a day someone across the country used my login to buy items instore. Target didn't help when I filed a complaint basically telling me to file a police report before they could do anything. Gift cards are harder to chase down of course compared to credit card. It can happen at any store but target's payment and security sucked up until few months ago when they added 2FA.

Edit: to enable 2FA, go to target.com and into your account settings. You can find information on how to enable it here - If you go to target.com and in the account settings, you'll find an option to set email/phone 2FA. More instructions are here https://security.target.com/FAQs#...20account?
Target recently changed their system to allow you to use a partial amount of a gift card on a purchase, so there's no need to buy multiple small quantities for yourself. I pay for most of the transaction with a gift card and then just a few cents with my Red Card to still get free shipping.

Guys be aware that I purchase this sale back in Oct. Loaded 500 GC into my account. A few days later, someone hacked into my Target account and went to a store in another state and purchase a PS5. I was able to get Target to investigate and eventually issued back a replacement GC. But what a hassle.

A gentle reminder, every year I read folks going through crazy gymnastics on this deal. It nets you $25 (maybe $47.50, depending on up front purchase method). Personally, that equates to roughly 15min of work time of value.

Choose wisely how you invest your time.
even less this year if you don't spend the $500 right away as you can get almost 5% in the a 1 year treasury.

You're not going to spend 500 in 12 months?

Does the Target red card stack on this?
No

As others have said you can use PayPal through chase or Apply Pay through discover to get an extra 5% back

Too bad discover changed their traditional Q4 bonus to not have target anymore. If you can purchase in store you can use any discover card as a digital wallet to get 5% that way IF offer is also in-store
Can't you use Apple Pay on target app?

If you don't already have a red card it nets you at least $50 and another almost $25 just by choosing a payment method. Anyone that takes longer than 3 minutes to do this doesn't buy stuff much via web or apps

10% off a Target gift card isn't that exciting to me. I've been doubling up with CashApp card boost YMMV if you have the offer at Target (immediate 10%) off combined with the $100 Apple gift card that adds the $15Target gift card. If you consider the Apple Card and Target gift card as cash it's a 22% net savings ($90 OOP for $115 value) which is ~ 2 times the savings even compared to this future deal with various credit card gymnastics.

Target Circle has 10% off gift card up to $50 discount off $500. Not sure if it is limited to select people or not. YMMV

This is December 3-4 only. It's on the bottom right corner of the weekly ad.
