I agree. 240 bucks for a 450 watt powered Klipsch subwoofer is a phenomenal deal. Even though the last thing I need is another a sub and my wife would kill me if I bought another one, I'm still actually considering pulling the trigger on this deal because as far as Im concerned, there's no such thing as having too many subwoofers and this is almost too good to pass up. So if you people never see me post again it probably means I ended up buying this and my Wife killed me. It was nice being a part of the SD community while it lasted.
This is a great subwoofer for the price. They are the newer model of R110-SW, these are leaps and bounds better than the cheaper R10 and the R100 line.
Yikes

Yes it can do wireless. It is compatible with the Klipsch WA-2 adapter but it is an optional accessory which is sold separately. Its pricey though with an MSRP or about 200 and goes of 180 on Amazon. At that price I'd be looking at better options like the RSL Speedwoofer or something from SVS.
Klipsch's SPL line is basically their Reference Premier of subwoofers. IN MY OPINION i think they are much better than their reference line. I have 1 reference series (not impressive) and I have 2 SPL's considerably better. I believe one SPL-100 way out performs the R-12 that I have but then I have always prefered the sound of a 10" sub over the larger alternatives. This is the best price I have seen on the SPL-100. Such a good price I got 4 more. I am going to attempt a budget version of the REL stack (no comments needed unless they are productive to the experiment). If it doesn't work I have a need for them other places. Anyway, if you are looking for a 10" sub I don't think you can go wrong with this.

Only 200 watt RMS. Would be great deal if it was a actually 450
You can regularly find the 12 inch version for $250-300. That said, this sub is very powerful. Even the 10 inch is overkill for most people. I can barely turn the gain knob on my 12 without feeling the rumble in the floor across a space of about 800 sq ft.
Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm asking the question because I genuinely don't know the answer. Recently I upgraded from a soundbar to a 5.1 receiver with the Klipsch Reference Theater Pack 5.1 system. I know that audiophiles think that it's low quality, but I've been very happy with it so far in my somewhat small living room. The subwoofer that was included is a 50 watt 8" down-firing speaker that, so far, has been enjoyable to me. I don't turn the system very loud, and I haven't noticed any weird issues with the speaker maxing out.
My question to the forum here is, given my use scenario, would I perceive much of a benefit from upgrading my subwoofer to this model? My guess would be that this offers a flatter response curve with a deeper frequency response, but I haven't felt as though I'm missing too much with what I have now. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

They are better because it's Klipsch's premiere line. Better driver, better cabinet, more power, better port position (front).
As a result, bass is much tighter, and digs deeper than its reference line. I have owned both the R12SW, R100SW and the R110SW. R110SW(which is essentially this SPL100) is the clear winner, not even close.
Was considering 1-2 of the R-121 from Best Buy for $299 ea, should I be grabbing 1-2 of these instead?
Ordered the Best Buy ones. Don't know much about speakers tho only old subs broke and they were 12s and I tried two different brand I think one was Sony that were 10s and sucked in comparison.
I think my old ones fuse busted so I tried swapping fuses with the working one and now somehow both broke fml
This or Bic f12? for mainly movies but occasionally music
BIC F12 all day. For movies, you may want to invest in a higher quality subwoofer. The difference between these sub $400 subwoofers and the pricer ones is mainly low frequency extension. A good starter subwoofer would be a SVS PB1000 Pro.
