Most people are buying the 920+ because of the 923+ release. The specs of the 923+ are very underwhelming to most Plex users.

Yes. Synology has discontinued their Intel Quicksync line....which is required for hardware transcoding with Plex. Synology effectively snubbed Plex users.

The Ryzen line of processors in the latest Synology lines can still run Plex but don't have the embedded GPU inside the processor. They need to use more raw CPU power to modify video in flight. Plenty of NAS pro/con comparison breakdowns online. That said, I'm very happy with my 920+ running Plex but will skip the AMD line.
