Adds to cart as a single line item, so you shouldn't be able to return just one of the tools individually. In other words, not hackable

In my experience, as long the invoice shows two separate line items, then it's easy to return.

I had one sales Karen tell me that I couldn't return and that I was cheating the system. She got on the phone with her upper management and quickly changed her tune and asked which item I wanted to return. I laughed and said the one I can cheat the system the most with.

Not sure if HD has cracked down on hacks but I've noticed that some items require you to return both items instead of being able to cancel one, but as long as they're two separate packaging in one "combo" deal it hasn't typically been a problem.

FYI- Direct Tools has jacked the price of the P553 way up, so you can't get them for $50 anymore.

This miter saw sucks. You will be unable to cut anything more than a simple 1x2. I suggest the sliding one at a minimum, although the 18V version is hard to find. Just trust me - you wont be able to do much with a stationary 7 inch blade.

Is there a cheap versatile miter saw that you recommend?

It depends on what you are building, and what other tools you have available, as well as space constraints.

I do my work in a second bedroom, so i wanted something compact. I own the corded 7.25" inch sliding saw that i got for like 90 bucks from the discount tools site a year ago. i like it a lot. It will cut through a piece of 1x8 without any issues and it works well for my home projects. For large cuts, i clamp a long level i bought from menards for $10 and use a circular saw to cut through the wood (using the clamped level is a straight line guide).

If you are only doing trim and all your trim is like 4 inches long, the saw in this deal is good for you. It's just not very versatile once you increase the width of the wood because it's non-sliding.

Overall, Ryobi stuff is good bang for buck - you can always get the 10" or 12" sliding ones if you have the space as well!

Chicago Electric model from Harbor Freight. It's cheap, but it's worked well for me. Never had any problems. I liked it so much I bought a second one!

Keep in mind, I'm not a professional by any means, but I did a complete kitchen remodel with one and built a fireplace surround with the other. Still going strong, though I need some new blades, but I'm too cheap to buy them. 🤫

Anyone see deal for a cordless Brad Nailer? I need a Brad Nailer for DIYs around the home. Also looking for a saw. I've been looking at the Ryobi combo sets with batteries but still not cheap to add the $99 Brad Nailer with a combo that has the batteries. Still going to spend a couple hundred $'s. I'm not familiar with discount tool brands or websites. So wondering if there's ant cheaper options? Any info would be appreciated!!

Yeah 7-1/4" is just too small for anything beyond basic cuts.
