You can get a different price depending on which browser you use, what email promotion they send you, if you buy it through a third party like this, use a coupon code, etc.
For instance I paid $40-50 I think for 1 year renewal just a couple weeks ago, so this makes me irritated.
That was with the best deal I could find at the time— and the price was anywhere from $40- over $100 depending on what link or offer I had.
Opinion- you're just pissing your customers off when they pay for your product and you try and screw them around. An hour after I paid the $40 renewal I got an email from them offering the same thing I just bought for $29.99.
But point is, this is a good deal no matter how you cut it.
There is also a similar offer that includes Malwarebytes premium and/or NordVPN through Newegg that may still be active. So you may also want to look into that if you're interested in those 2 products as well.

You can stack as long as what you have matches up with what you buy. I don't think the amount of years matters. Just the type (antivirus, total security, etc.) and the number of devices. Example: 5 device plan will only stack with at device plan. If for some reason, it doesn't stack, you can call and customer service will take care of it for you.
Last time I bought it, it didn't stack, but a quick phone call resolved it for me. I currently have just under two years left on mine.

Do you get a code or is it a straight download. If it's a code I found the steps to extend your account

No. You would have two subscriptions going at the same time. Total security and internet security are two different products according to bitdefender.
Pretty sure it was a code. Can't remember though.
