I use dremel and rotary tools constantly. Get something that uses a battery. The cord ain't worth it

Both corded and battery powered have a place as someone who uses it constantly must not need super high rpm.

If you ever have to cut metal I've learned corded is the way to go. Especially this set. I have cordless Milwaukee/Craftsman/Ryobi and none of them could handle the kind of jobs this corded one can.

Looking to get my first Dremel tool - is this considered a better option? Looks like it doesn't come with the accessory kit.

I ordered the 8250 yesterday, my first dremel. I bought this because its a BRUSHLESS motor, extend life, more power, less maintenance, etc. Yeah, no accessories but this is their newly released model this year.

I realize this reply is late, but it depends on what you are doing with it. I ordered the 4300 because it runs much quieter than the other models & will not need recharging (or resting due to heat) after an hour of use. If you know exactly what you want from your dremel, then you can make the choice about which model to get.
