I was trying whole time to convince myself to get one, but I have no use for tablets, honestly My MacBook pro and iPhone does the job , maybe a good pricy option for kids

Indeed it would be more appealing. But there's nothing in this price range that comes close. I have a lot of iPads ha. The 11" still looks amazing and the convenience of FaceID alone is worth it over the Air model. I think it will get 5-6 more years of iPadOS support, so getting a new one now and waiting for a different screen down the road makes sense.

Probably talking about the bonus discounts you could get from adding accessories like the Apple Pencil and Logitech Combo Touch, then canceling those accessories after order.

Now, you can add those items, but it doesn't take off a global discount i.e. the 'hack' no longer works.

Very very tempting. But I bought a 12.9 M1 512GB for $799 at Best Buy, open box excellent. The 12.9 is really nice and makes the smaller size iPad seem cramped. Also can't justify having two iPad Pros.
