For those wondering, M2 battery drains faster than the M1.
I'd recommend the M1 Pro for most people because that $150 can go towards AppleCare+, keyboard cases, accessories (like Apple Pencil 2), etc.
I used this comparison [apple.com] and I see almost no differences between the 5th Gen Air and this 3rd gen Pro...
An extra $100 for double the capacity is the better deal. Especially for something I intend to use for the next 5 or 6 years.
Now I wonder if I picked the right color lol.
I'd gladly choose the Pro at $550 over the Air at $500.

The 12.9" 3rd generation Pro was from 2018 and looked different (has a home button).
The two sizes are 'out of sync' for generations because the first 'small' iPad Pro was 9.7" and the second was 10.5".
This deal is the third generation of the 11" size, and has the M1. The first 11" had the A12X, the second 11" had the A12Z.
11" came out after. This is the M1 version. Still an excellent tablet and will have great support for the next few years.
