Owned this. Do not buy it. Thermal throttles beyond all hell. I've owned a few gaming laptops in my time and totally understand they get hot.

This however, was completely unacceptable.

Better go for m16 guys! It's the same price but u get better 16:10 display + powerful i7-12700H + 500nits display. U get only 300nits with G15.!! So choose the right one!

Edit: M16 has better screen and less bezels but this lasts longer on battery and has a faster GPU.

Biggest misses by Asus is soldering the first memory chip and not adding usb4 ports...

This model specifically? I just purchased the 2021 g14 Ryzen 7 with 3060 from best buy 2 days ago. What say thee about the zephyrus collection ? Thank you for your time my liege 🙇

I have the 3070 version of this laptop and absolutely love it. Dont game a ton besides the occasional call of duty or warzone sessions, but it runs it really well for extended periods of time. I have the laptop connected to a 1440p 165hz monitor through a usb c to displayport adapter and avg around 120-140fps on my current settings. Laptop definitely gets a little warm, but I usually put it on its side to allow it to breathe a bit better. Gpu temps rarely go over 70. Cant recommend it enough

Also I realize the deal is for the 3060 version, but I cant imagine it being too far off of my experience.

I can recommend it "enough" ok for gaming. So wanted to like it, but the screen is short. Asus made the 16" screen which is an inch taller for intel cpus in EXACT same chassis.

Have to stick with 14.5" Lenovo slim 7 pro x (which actually has a taller screen than this) until I find a sale on M16 or thinkpad x1 extreme
