No, look for 4060 laptop deals if you're considering purchasing a new gaming laptop right now.

This advice is kinda narrow. For $1100 you can now find steeply discounted 3070ti with better build quality and features than an entry level 4060, which would be a much better deal. Most 4060 at this price would also have awful screens if that matters to the buyer.

I was particularly concerned about battery, screen, keyboard on this product, so I went through around 272 reviews and found the following mentions of issues with the screen.
Just FYI for everyone.

About screen (12 negative reivews):

" however, there are some instances that the game i downloaded can make the screen glitch after being randomly tabbed out, causing the screen to just zoom in and out, black out for a bit, and repeat. "
" i would like to give it a 5 but the screen stopped working in less than a month after purchase. "
" should be shipped with more ram at this price point and the screen goes blank for a minute sometimes. "
" first one i bought had a creaking sound around the screen and a great amount of backlight bleed, 2nd(same exact model) had a more worse issue. "
" it was working great for about a week then for some reason the screen began to turn off at random. "
" the laptop is less then a month old and the screen went out. "
" my laptop came with a faulty screen. "
" great computer but arrived with white patches on the screen that i assume is damage to the screen layers. "
" something went wrong with the screen. "
" specifically, the screen was dead. "
" i put my hands on the top where the screen and functions keys are , and you actually feel burn in your hands. "
" however, was very unhappy that my screen arrived with a scratch in it. "

Correction. Look for 8gb of vram minimum, and preferably 12gb. The 4060 is better than the crap 3060, but both are a bad deal because of the lack of vram. Consoles have 16 shared between CPU and GPU, 12 seems like a safe-ish bet for a PC, 16 is a safe bet.

That being said, the 3060 12gb is a piece of trash.

how is the screen quality. How does this compare to the rog strix G15 AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX - 16GB Memory - Radeon RX 6800M - 512GB SSD. Hope to get one that has nice screen quality/color for mainly office work and media consumption without breaking the bank. Anything great for under $1000? I haven't stay up to date with laptop specs...your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

can you point me to a nice one with 15.6" or larger screen. I am looking for the best screen quality I can get in a laptop. Thanks.
