Calm lifetime subscription normally cost $399 but there is currently a 60% off offer, which currently puts a lifetime license at $159. However, connect to VPN in Turkey and the price shows at TRY 1,329.99 and with the current 60% off promo, it becomes TRY 531.99 which works out to be about $29 USD.

I used my free Windscribe VPN connected to Istanbul Ataturk. You may need to log into your account or create in a new incognito/private browsing session to see the TRY price (instead of USD).

I copied the details above from the previous thread and updated the link to the new offer.
https://slickdeals.net/f/15527299-88-off-lifetime-calm-subscription-42?v=1

Update 11/29/22: added direct link and a screenshot of the 60% offer page.
Update 11/30/22: Deal expired, price has increased to TRY 5,999.99 - 3,600.00 = TRY 2399.99 (or about $129 USD)

OMG after like an hour of trying 4 different browsers and half a dozen payment methods, but regular and incognito, and every creating a Privacy account to try that, all of which got instant declined, all of a sudden a Google Pay option popped up on my screen. Went through that and got the payment to go through:

Date Description Amount
Nov 29, 2022 CALM.COM, INC. $28.62

This was the hardest slick deal I've had to work for in quite some time.

How did you do it with Safari? Direct using a credit card number or via Google Pay? I've tried everything on my Mac with no luck. Tried Chase, Amex, Discover, all get insta-declined. And I can't get the Google Pay option to show up. Tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox with no success.
Paid directly with my Amex Plat via Safari on Ventura. I used ClearVPN. I have no idea why everyone is using privacy.com. That seems to be where people are getting hung up. I seriously doubt Calm is going to steal your credit card number.

I think you got very lucky then. As I said, I tried Amex, Chase, Discovery and even my Apple Card all through Safari. Not one would even begin to get processed but would just get declined with an error. No pending charges on any of them either. This was with Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge, all in regular and incognito mode. Calm simply refused to take any of my credit cards for some reason. I only signed up for a Privacy.com account after people here reported it working, but I tried that as well and it also got rejected by Calm. I was literally about to give up when I suddenly noticed a Google Pay button appear in one of the browsers. I tried it out and, voila, it worked. But again that was after over an hour of trying everything else multiple times.

If all you had to do was bring up your VPN, open up the website in Safari, and manually enter in your Amex card, and got the payment to go through, that is pretty amazing since those same actions are not working for most people, including myself.

I don't think people are suggesting Privacy.com to avoid giving Calm their CC info because it might get "stolen". I imagine people are using it to 1) avoid any international fraud flags on their main CC(s), and/or 2) to put a max $ cap so they won't be hit with the $160+ charge some people reported doing when disabling the VPN during the checkout process, defaulting back to the USD price.

What exactly is this? I see it is related to meditation. Is it a bunch of guided meditation recordings?

The reason we were using privacy.com is to ensure that Calm doesn't charge us more than the stated amount, not because of privacy concerns.

If you don't know how to turn off a Pihole I'm guessing you don't have one - Pihole is a dedicated adblocker set up on a Raspberry pi. If you do have a pihole but someone else manages it, ask them to deactivate it for you while you're trying to check out (I'm not sure if Pihole is actually blocking anything but I do tend to deactivate it just in case as it does cause issues from time to time).
