At my local Home Depot today they had a stack of these 4 tool kits priced at $159. The stack also had a printed sign that said "This kit comes with one free tool, ask an associate for details". I thought, there's no way this comes with one of the free brushless tools. Well it rang up with a free $139 jigsaw. I returned the Jigsaw and ended up with this 4 tool kit for $84.84. YMMV.

Edit: this was at the Imperial Marketplace? #1032 store in San Diego. Uploaded a photo of my receipts in the comments.

I just did the same thing from my local HD. Worked great, no questions asked. I have over 25 ryobi tools so didnt really need the combo but did it because I decided to sell my ryobi 4 gallon back sprayer cause I upgraded to the new flozone. Such a great deal I figured I can flip on criagslist with sprayer added as a bundle. I am keeping the 4ah battery, the speed drill, and the light from bundle. I have a drill but chose to upgrade mine to this one from the bundle. heres the combo pic I am selling

Btw, this works in reverse if you want a specific tool. Return the 4 tool pack and depending on the tool picked you will get a nice discount as well.

This looks like its workable for batteries only as well. Unless the return policy makes you return all of it.

Did this deal w/ the drill and 2-pack batteries. Only wanted the batteries. As a "combo" each showed in my cart separately at a reduced price -- $35 or so for each. In fact, they shipped out from different warehouses too. Returned the drill as soon as it arrived, no questions asked, no problem. That is the "hack."

Completely missed the drill, gonna go that route for the batteries

This is showing online with the free tool added, and the brushless impact for 86.35 in my cart while the kit is 72.65 in my cart. I'm seeing I can choose ship to home or pick up in store for both (the method must match for both though). I'm curious if I order online can I just cancel the brushless impact immediately so it doesn't even ship out and still get the kit for 72.65 + tax without even going to the store?

I got the 2-pack battery for $40 after the hack.

Pair the batteries with RYOBI ONE+ 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 in. Drill/Driver Kit with (1) 1.5 Ah Battery and 18V Charger ($79). $40 for the 2-pack battery ($20 per battery).
