I recommend updating the driver for the tablet. It's the same as Huion so look for HuionDriver_v12.0.5.zip or newer.

No, these are pretty difficult to use for writing because you lose track when moving from word to word and line to line. It was an acquired skill to make art on these, and ever since tablets with an integrated display like iPads and Microsoft/Android equivalents have become more reasonably priced the value of these graphic drawing tablets has really decreased.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are no longer manufactured, and retailers are just trying to clear out their old stock. I had this same model when it was labelled Huion 610 Pro about 10 years ago.

Comes with old drivers. You're better off downloading the driver's for the actual tablet manufacturer. This is a rebranded tablet.
