The forth image on Amazon says they're the same diameter - and the 55s are slightly less thick than the 45s

What's the go to for barbells for the home gym? Is there a do it all over for powerlifting and Olympic stuff

There is a standard but they're not all the same. Specifically, the Hi-Temp crumb rubber plates are a smidge smaller than standard (445mm instead of 450mm), so using standard diameter plates alongside hi-temps will wear out the wider plates faster.

I just ordered a Rogue Ohio Bar from their boneyard. It's their slightly blemished bars. Came out to $220ish after tax and shipping. Not cheap but from what I've read it's a great deal.

Rogue is pretty much the standard but you pay a premium for the name compared to other brands with similar features, and I haven't loved any Ohio bar I've lifted on. Get RX'd has a great bearing bar for $170 that I definitely prefer over a bushing bar like an Ohio for olympic lifting.
