Why not get the actual Velcro brand and you get a 100 pack? Instead of $.50 a piece it's $.08.

I find the magnetic version to be a cleaner look. But think the velcro one linked has a better hold.

I own both and each work, so that's pretty much what we care about

This item arrived from Amazon.

Honestly, this item is trash. The velcro attachments on the cables are strong, but the adhesive on the mount itself is crap. Even if I use 3M dual lock (top of the line), it's questionable whether this will stay.

Plus the blue color of the mount is FUGLY. It's going back to Amazon. Not even worth $4. Laughable at $12 rofl

Probably because these look all "fancy pants". I suspect that you probably spend more time trying to put the base on the right spot, and then those cables have to sit in that spot until you love the base again. Might be ok for stationary items that will rarely be relocated, but kind of a pain for items like laptop cables. But I agree the Velcro straps that just strap independent of a base are much more user friendly.

If you have long cords or things that could weigh it down at the back, the mount is going to flip off from the desk with everything attached. I think the issue here lies on the adhesive being a reusable type.

this thing is garbage -> sticks firmly to smooth surfaces? Not really, it sticks only to smooth surfaces, sort of.

it should be sold in dollar stores
