PS. For anyone wondering the differences between this and the GLM20 that's slightly cheaper, besides an extra 100' of range, this one has a higher degree of accuracy, the ability to store past measurements, and most importantly it can calculate the vertical leg height of a right triangle via Pythagorean theorm whereas the GLM20 can't. That alone is worth the extra $20 to me

100% agree with not buying the knock-off, copycat Chinese garbage. I don't buy it on principle. F*ck all of those losers who lazily copy existing products, slap some made up name on it, and peddle it on Amazon and similar.
However I'm pretty sure that Bosch is not a US company
I really want to buy this, but: case-in-point --> I STILL have my Bosch DLR165 (and the pouch) that I bought about 10 years ago if I remember correctly. I've used Eneloop AA's in it, and unlike someone else in this thread I haven't changed the batteries "every year" LOL. How unnecessary, and wasteful. Zero issues 10 years later.
To add to this, I've always tried to buy the best tools I can. In general: with good care they will last longer, perform better, and cost LESS in the long run. My favorite example is my Bosch 1590EVSK jigsaw. Purchased on August 22nd, 2009 on Amazon. Made in Switzerland. STILL going. Only thing I've ever had to replace was the switch. And since it wasn't some no-name, knock-off Chinese brand, I was actually able to buy the switch for it a couple of years ago. So 11 years after purchase. Try getting support for your ultra high quality "ENGiNDOT" tool 11 years down the road. Or maybe try getting support from "Wishpig", Euymhod", and others.
