For reference, Costco's size is 24oz for $7.49 (little less little more depending on region). So this is about the same price but shipped to your house.
Why the hell do you care what people buy and or judge them? If you are to good for this stuff don't even bother coming into the thread. Sorry we are not good enough for you.
So much for the $4.29 suggested retail price in the fourth pic on Amazon.

im poor and i wouldnt buy this garbage (luckly my local kroger has cheese ends and pieces for clearence)
The germs and bacteria from those "ends" are not worth the discount. Going from cold to warm and back not to mention all the "handling'! I know people who buy them for their pets. At least you start off sterile with the KRAFT cheese product. I could do without the wood chips though!

Anyone who is not interested in shredded parmesan shouldn't be on this thread. I get that a parmesan block is better than shredded. But so is prime beef and organic chicken and home grown veges and many other things.. but anyone buying this and has a sam's membership should give mama Francesca's a try.. its under $7 for 20oz and way better

Parmesan is what this is called in the States but what wouldn't fly in the EO. What you're referring to is parmigiano reggiano.

How do you think we got the cheese in the first place?

I stopped buying this from Costco because my family and I don't eat as much Parmesan cheese as we would think.. expiration dates are usually 6 months. End up wasting $8 versus buying smaller one at $5. Sometimes getting good deal on more ends up being worse if u force urself to finish or can't finish. Gotta evolve in purchasing decisions!

On another note, I found Trader Joe's Parmesan cheese for $3 or something to be a more affordable alternative that does taste a little better and cheaper. Ain't nobody got time to buy real Parmesan and grate it fresh for takeout pizza or quick spaghetti dinners

You can buy real Parmesan already grated at some stores too

For many/most things, better quality block parma is certainly better, IMHO.

However, I use this jar parma for making a quick alfredo sauce. The quality of the butter seems to be more important!

This guy also agrees:

Because this is a democracy. If the majority of people thinks it is not worth it, then the people have spoken. What's the damn point of a comment thread if all you want to hear are positive reviews?

Other than using this as a condiment on pasta and pizza, what other uses does this have?
You can literally put it on anything. I use it all the time on veggies and other things I throw in the air fryer. Also powder it up in food processor and use on popcorn occasionally.

I can easily use one of these in 2 months max.

On sale at Sam's currently for $6.29 for 24 oz., cheaper than this, as far as avoiding the trip to Sam's, just buying this one item from Amazon won't avoid the trip to Sam's 😊
Weird. At my Sam's it's $7.48 on sale. I usually buy it there, but I do like the smaller (still large) 16 oz size bottles in the Amazon deal. Sam's on sale (at my Sam's anyway) is 31¢ per ounce. If you have 5 S&S items, it comes out to 28¢ per ounce.
