So still a good deal but not amazing. Most people don't take care of or really appreciate good kitchen knives, but a good rule of thumb is, if the company won't tell you what the steel is (VG10, ATS34 etc. etc.) they are using at best just okay steel. Better than a set of $50 knives......sure, but if you see "special stainless steel formula" etc. it's not great steel.
Most folks really only need 2-3 knives, the mistake many make is buying into big sets and only using half of them. You can look at something like a Tojiro DP series that's VG10 steel, spend a bit more and have blades that will perform better.

I'm not saying these are on the same level of some $100+ knife, but for how much you are paying you'll fall in love. I think Adam Ragusea said the best knife is the knife you reach for - these are the knives I go for every time.
