The Arcan A20015 Low Profile Floor Jack has a 2-ton lift capacity and a lifting range from 3.5 in. to 18.5 in. It is made with a steel construction for heavy duty use. And it is designed with dual pump pistons, a universal joint release mechanism, a 2 piece handle, and bypass and overload valves. Also, your vehicle is kept protected with the rubber saddle and foam handle bumper. We put all of our lifting equipment through a voluntary and rigorous safety certification process, as outlined by the ASME PASE-2014 Safety Standard for Portable Automotive Service Equipment.
Am I a moron or is everyone else commenting wrong about this? It's a 2 ton jack, it can certainly lift 2 tons. Putting the jack at the front of a 2022 GMC Acadia is possibly 66% of the weight of the vehicle, so roughly 3,000 lbs or 1.5 tons. This jack can be used to lift a 2022 GMC Acadia, then you would put it on suitable jack stands of course. A pair of 2 ton jack stands would be sufficient per axle, you may want bigger ones if they support the jack points better, but they would also work.
You might want a bigger jack or stands for an SUV so you have a higher lift point, but this jack can certainly lift one side of most SUVs. I've used a 1.5 ton for over 12 years on trucks, older SUVs, and sedans, had no issue lifting one side of the vehicle.
Guess that was a better deal in comparison. For those who want all steel, this might be better. Might be more durable although heavier.
I'm not saying your parent did anything wrong, but people who jack up a vehicle and don't use jack stands to support it before getting under it is just asking for something bad to happen. Please USE jack stands!!

Would this be good enough and safe to use under GMC Acadia SUV?

If you are lifting one wheel at a time this would work but if you are going to lift 2 wheels at a time then I would avoid it because the weight capacity will be dangerously close. This is more for a light weight sedan (cause some older Lincoln's and gmc weighed a ton) or one wheel at a time kind of lift.
Great price and a name brand jack although I personally wouldn't purchase anything less than a 3 ton as I have heavier vehicles to maintain. Also has dual pistons which allows quicker lifting times! Additional Note: I would order this shipped to the store for pickup rather than shipped to my home as shipping damage is rampant because of the heaviness of these items. Why take the chance and high probability you may have to return it to the store because of shipping damage? Typically floor jacks are packaged in a thick cardboard box with minimal packing because they are made for pallet shipping to the warehouse and retail outlet. This is why so many reviewers of ANY mail order jack leave bad reviews a lot of the time.
Buy this or BIG RED T83006 Torin Hydraulic Trolley Service/Floor Jack with Extra Saddle (Fits: SUVs and Extended Height Trucks) 3 Ton for my compact SUV RAV4?
