Based on past experiences, for soundboards (especially if you are planning to use with TVs), DO NOT get anything lower than 3 channels (3.0 or 3.1) as center channel is important for "dialogues". Otherwise, you'll constantly find yourself increasing and decreasing volume to hear what's being said vs the background music and sound
