This is a good deal but I do not recommend the product.

If you want to save money, get 9th gen iPad for $270.

If you want higher specs for school/work, buy previous gen iPad air/pro models through sale or renewed around $400-450.
We saw many deals last week and we'd see many more through Christmas!

imo the current deal $499 Air with M1 is a better value proposition over this. Either buy 9th gen for $329/$299/$279 on a deal, or cough out more dough and get the Air. This 10th gen with A14 for $399 doesn't really make sense atleast to me.

Wife is still rocking the 6th gen with gen 1 Pencil, and she likes the new pink one. She only uses it to "color" pictures but does use it almost daily while drinking her morning coffee. I was a little salty paying the $9.00 to Apple for the stupid USB-C to lightning adapter to pair her Pencil. But she will be thrilled at Christmas, so it will be worth it.

I got one— traded in my old air 3rd gen. Pulled the trigger for two reasons:

1. Best Buy actually had better trade in value than Apple (175 vs 125)
2. I use this primarily for work, and the center camera is much better for teams calls
3. I have the old Apple Pencil, so it works out. Had to buy the adapter though.

Total cost was ~250, and only downside is I have the laminated screen now. Otherwise performance is actually noticeably smoother from iPad 3rd gen chip.

The only thing that is better on r 10 is the front camera but air 4 has pencil 2 support, faster type c transfer rate and laminated screen.

I mean like…for example,

I have one and I'm selling mine as I don't see myself writing on my awesome iPad 12.9" Pro M1. I realize that I have no use for it. I don't like drawing nor do note takings. I do love magic keyboard though.

My point is that there's 50/50 chance. If she does, cool,go for it. If not, that's $$ saving too.

Sorry, earlier in the thread I mentioned the only thing she uses the iPad for is to play some color by numbers game with the Apple Pencil. The extra performance of the Air would not change that for her. And to be honest, she could probably stick with her 6th gen iPad for another year or three! 😄

She is one of those who will not explicitly tell me she wants a new iPad, it is up to me to know that. 20+ years of marriage over here. 😆

Maybe get the 10th gen iPad pink after all? It is the latest model. I don't even know how women think and I never will. That's the beauty of opposite sex.

Though I encourage you to consider the 9th gen iPad. No colorful tablet options beside silver and space gray.

I honestly am not sure the color choice alone warrants the buying decision between? Usually, it more than just color like size, memory storage, RAM, accessories, chipset, headphone jack, and the list goes on.
