Strange. These are being marketed and sold as "Cordless Phone Replacement" batteries. They are only 700 mAh, as opposed to 800 mAh for other Amazon Basics AAA rechargeables.

Also, the quality of Amazon Basics rechargeables are complete garbage now. I purchased some AAA's last week, rated at 800 mAh. After charging and testing with my LaCrosse charger, it appears that at least half of the batteries won't deliver 800. Several are in low 700's.

Don't waste your money on Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries. The batteries I received all said made in China, and they're crap.

Why is it always China's fault? It's amazon who paid China to make cheap sh*tty product and then are selling it to the customers. Americans always seem to have this misplaced anger towards someone else while turning a blind eye to the part they play. It's so stupid and fascinating at the same time.

Eneloop, Fujitsu, ladda high capacity (make sure they are made in Japan). Rechargeable batteries made in Japan likely all come from the same factory as eneloops.

Context is everything. IP theft has nothing to do with American companies paying Chinese manufacturers to make cheap crap that they can then sell to their own American people. But this is a classic example of how you will always try to blame someone else whether it makes any sense or not and regardless of how badly you are being screwed over by your own greedy companies.

I agree that regular Eneloop are the best unless you are using them in high discharge devices. They are a little less expensive and have about twice the numbers of rechargeable cycles than the Pro. Yes the capacity of the charge is a little less than the Pro but generally you don't need that extra mAh anyway.

I had some good luck with Energizer and older Duracell which were all Made in Japan and likely coming from the same factory as the Eneloop/Panasonic/Fujitsu. Generally I would avoid rechargeable batteries that are Made in China.

LOL, All as in ALL rechargeable NiCad and MiMh batteries are 1.2 volt, no matter what brand,etc. Show me a 1.5 volt rechargeable battery.

Also, these batteries are fine for TV remote controls,etc. They don't need high amps. Don't use alkaline batteries in your remote, they will Leak. I've cleaned and repaired over 30 remotes for family, etc. because of Alkalines.

There's 92% 5 and 4 stars on Amazon, they're fine for low drain.

My lacrosse charger appears to not be charging properly after a decade of use. It could be the amazon basics batteries, too, though. Now that lacrosse doesn't make chargers anymore, do you know of any good replacement brands/models?

They come off a fresh charge at 1.4+v, and settle down to 1.2v with some use for a long time, assuming it's a decent cell.
Alkaline have a more 'linear' discharge.

These are likely NOT LSD, which do not take well to the constant charge that some phones may use.
