Better deal for 5GB/mo: You can get a $16.67/mo rate by paying for a year upfront via Net10: https://www.ebay.com/itm/283493021687

Off-topic, is there a plan that gives 2GB data and low minutes and low texts per month?

All I care about is the monthly price.

Thanks.

Yes you can in Tello. Go to their website and you can select any data plan with minutes/text plan. Say you can choose 2gb data with 500 minutes of talk or 2gb of data with unlimited talk etc. The prices change accordingly.

Any deals for a decent, inexpensive unlocked phone to go with these plans?

Beware I just recently left them because their 5G network hasn't been fully functional and caused my phone from constantly got disconnected and they had me to switch to 4G/LTE in order to work normal again.

So it could be certain phone but the one I have is the Samsung S22 Ultra, and I switched to Mint no issue, so it's the risk you have to take possible you can't use 5G even your phone supports it.

You may want to look at T-Mobile prepaid plans. https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prep...ns/connect
The unlimited talk+text+3GB plan is $15 per month.

Wow, that is some serious competition. I was going to bounce back to Ting after getting a few free months from Google Fi, but it looks like T-Mobile is the winner.

Good deal for the first month, Second month and on US Mobile(Verizon side) is about the same with all Tax and fees.

For $6 more + Tax and Fees you can get 6GB of data on T-Mobile Connect(T-Mobile Prepaid Direct). This is based off the Second month pricing.

This isn't a direct reply to your comment about 5G on this network, but I would recommend everybody just turn off 5G and go LTE on every Netwerk. 5G, kind of sucks - https://m.youtube.com/results?sea...y=5g+sucks

Yeah, I don't know how much ofa problem it can be to have 5G enabled in crappy 5G service areas, but I've been 5G-capable with Verizon for close to two years and I don't recall ever seeing anything other than LTE service. Not in a huge metropolitan area but it is supposedly available here. I don't have a problem I need to solve but it most likely wouldn't hurt me at least to turn off 5G.
