Ugh I just bought the 1030 plus from Amazon on BF at 399.99. Think I can return and get this?

This is a good deal even if you only use the computer and heart rate monitor.

I have owned the 1040 since release. 1 in 10 rides the computer will reboot or lock up. This is has similar hardware. Same processor, lesser gps that is still good.

Reliable Software is key. Garmin did not add the new software

I wanted to jump on this last time and now it's back! I've had a reliable 530 for a bit now, no sensors or HRM, but I'm getting the itch to pull the trigger....ugh decisions.....

Ive been using this 1030plus for a few years now and still going strong.

After a century ride with heart rate and cadence sensor, battery life hovers between 75-81%

I'd pick this up in a heart beat if I was in the market for a Garmin cycling computer

Looks like best buys is sold out but still available on Amazon for the same price

This is more for the folks that wish to track data, I used to use my phone for a couple of years, but then upgraded to a Garmin 530 unit and much prefer that - but also, I wear the goofy skin tight jerseys, clipless shoes, and bibs that have the pad, so this isn't really for the commuter bikers.

Wow this is a pretty good deal, bought a Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt combo earlier this year for ~$300 and this is probably one step up from the competing Garmin model.

Keep your 530 and spend the money on a power meter. Gets you the cadence. The hub sensor is nice, and supposedly takes over if you lose gps signal, but I'm not sure it's necessary unless you need SUPER accurate speed and distance data. I don't know anyone who trains like that though.
